Day three passed with only one main goal: debating the Russian – Ukrainian crisis. After a hard day’s work, the delegates made a resolution which was sponsored by the United States of America, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and signed by Italy, Greece, Hungary, France, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Albania and Luxembourg.
The delegates were concerned with the situation that was developing at the border between Russia and Ukraine. They stated that “we, alongside the International Community, consider the latest developments at the border of Ukraine alarming and call upon all parties to refrain from any further violence in the region”.
The NATO committee condemned Russia for the military actions that violated Ukraine’s territorial integrity by calling upon the Seventh Chapter of the United Nations Charter. Therefore, the N.A.C delegates decided in the resolution that they “urge readiness of the member states capabilities and expresses its willingness to support the European Union in potential operations in the region upon request”.
Having reached a decision regarding the crisis events, the delegates went back to discussing topic A of their agenda.
