During the coffee break, the Delegate of France from the COPUOS Committee, Alexandru Selea, gave the press an interview regarding his MUN experience and the expectations that he has both of his Committee and the event in general.
Thus, the diplomat states that he had been “to BISMUN the year before this one and also to MUNs organized by my high school. Also, after BISMUN will be over, I will organize an MUN at my high school.” We are extremely glad and we encourage your future involvement!
Nevertheless, when the Diplomat was asked to choose an ally from his Committee, he pointed out to not one, but two of his colleagues: the Delegation of the United States of America and the Delegation of Ukraine, “for they had the most contribution to the resolution that I have drafted today.” However, the Ambassador also crowned a couple of Delegates “sleeping beauties”, such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Mexico.
Moreover, France is “fairly pleased with the progress the COPUOS Committee is making, even though we (the Delegates) had a slow process of accepting and drafting the resolution. I think we should have a faster pace on the topic at hand.”
Ending the interview, the Delegation of France declares that they wish to advance at a faster pace and “have less sleeping beauties around”.
