Being among the most toxic and fast-acting chemical weapons of mass destruction, the United Nations announced that is not just an attack on Turkey but a threat to all humanity.
Turkish Government issued an estimation of an approximate number of 250 dead, both turkish and kurdish, and over 1000 people being injured.
Turkey has declared a state of emergency claiming that “ no one will pass anymore from Syria or Iraq to Turkey. We need solutions that are sustainable, not having invisible results, compromising is not even considered as an option”.
UNODA, who assessed the situation on the ground has informed the Secretariat that “the quantity of sarin gas used in the attacks only exhausted approximately a quarter of the total amount captured by Daesh, according to the reports of the Syrian government”.
Following the three days in which the all the delegates confronted a major crisis in Syria and an unexpected attack on Turkey, it was reached the momement when common solutions and decisions must be established.
Time, being a constant enemy in a crisis stituation, made the deleagate of Malaysia to assert that “ We should pretend a collaboration with Daesh so we gain some time. We should recall our army and then eventually, to attack and act undercovered”. Malaysia believes that an eventual compromise with Daesh would lead to a decrease in attacks from their side.
Compared to the delegate of Malaysia, the delegate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, made a clear and firm statement “We will never negotiate with terrorists and in moments like this we will not accept any withdrawal of our army.” Russian Federation mentioned a tight cooperation with Jordan’s military forces to evade the chemical weapons from Daesh.
The United States will continue the military actions in the Middle East and will cooperate with the Russian Federation to annihilate any terrorist act.
Ultimately it seems that all delegates have reached an agreement on the retrieval of the chemical weapons from Syria and begin drafting a resolution with all possible solutions to act against the global threat known as Daesh.
