The main topic of the first day in the Crisis Committee was “The War on Drugs”. Among the mock session, the General Secretary announced the delegates about the first press statement on The Daily Bismun which is directly linked to the Crisis Committee: 15 anti-narcotics officers were arrested by Interpol.
Japan accused USA, France and the United Kingdom for being the most guilty for drug smuggling, USA sustained that the drugs problem is not the most important problem in the world right now, comparing to political or economical issues. Was obvious that Malaysia, Ukraine and Japan empathized with each other very quickly so it is possible that in the close future they will collaborate.
In the meantime the USA delegate accused social media for making things worse by overrating the drug problem, spreading it all around the world and also corrupting people because of the huge impact it has.
Another highlight of the day in Crisis came after the lunch break, when the delegates of the United States of America and Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela were a few minutes late. So they got punished by the chairpersons by dancing in front of everyone on a hip hop song. It was a funny moment which entertained the atmosphere.
